Chaired the first meeting of the board of directors of the Maharashtra Cancer Care, Research and Education Foundation and presided over the signing and exchange of an MoU between MAHACARE Foundation and Tata Memorial Centre (TMC) in Mumbai, today. Directed MAHACARE to create international standard treatment and research facilities for cancer patients across the State. MAHACARE will play a key role in providing equal access to world-class cancer care from diagnosis to treatment to people across every district of Maharashtra through state-run Level 2 and Level 3 cancer hospitals. Instructed MAHACARE to recruit highly qualified and capable professionals while building its workforce.

Approved the establishment of the Nagpur High-Energy Medical Cyclotron Project as a subsidiary under MAHACARE in Nagpur. Also granted in-principle approval for a 100 crore corpus fund for MAHACARE under the Mahatma Phule Jan Arogya Yojana.

The MoU signed with Tata Memorial Centre (TMC) today marks a significant step towards strengthening cancer care across Maharashtra. Under this collaboration, TMC will serve as the apex research and treatment centre, while comprehensive cancer treatment centres and diagnostic and day-care centres will be established across the State through the MahaArogya Project. Minister Prakash Abitkar, MOS Madhuritai Misal, CEO of the Maharashtra Cancer Care, Research and Education Foundation Dr. Ajay Chandanwale and senior officials were present.

स्व. मा. अजितदादा पवार पर्यटन उद्यान, बारामती

आज बारामती इथं स्वर्गीय मा. अजितदादा पवार पर्यटन उद्यान नामकरण समारंभ आणि "देवगिरी ते देवराई टराज्यव्यापी वृक्षसंवर्धन अभियानाचा शुभारंभ झाला. हा केवळ एका उद्यानाच्या नामकरणाचा किंवा वृक्षसंवर्धन अभियानाच्या प्रारंभाचा सोहळा नव्हता, तर पर्यावटण सेवर्धनाचा संकल्प अधिक दृढ करणारा आणि स्वर्गीय मा. अजितदादांच्या विचारांना कृतीतून अभिवादन करणाटा अविस्मरणीय क्षण ठरला. या प्रसंगी आदरणीय अजितदादांच्या पवित्र स्मृतींना विनम्र अभिवादन करण्यात आले. पर्यावरण संवर्धन, देशी वृक्षांची लागवड आणि वनसंपदेच्या जतनासाठी त्यांचा नेहमीच विशेष आग्रह असायचा, त्यांच्या नावानं उभारण्यात आलेले हे पर्यटन उद्यान निसर्गाशी जोडणार, पयविटण शिक्षण देणारं आणि भावी पिढीला प्रेरणा देणार्ट केंद्र ठरेल, असा विश्वास व्यक्त करण्यात आला.

कन्हेटी पर्यटन उद्यानाची संकल्पना, नियोजन आणि उभारणीत आदरणीय अजितदादांचं मोलाचं योगदान राहिलं आहे. त्यांच्या प्रयत्नांमुळे कन्हेरी येथील राखीव वनाच्या 55 हेक्टर क्षेत्रासाठी ₹8 कोटी 75 लाखांचा निधी उपलब्ध झाला. या निधीतून Pathways, Suspension Bridge, Solar Lights, Adventure Activity Tools, Rock Garden आणि Butterfly Garden विकसित करण्यात आले आहेत.

"देवगिरी ते देवराई हे अभियान केवळ वृक्षलागवडीचे नाही, तर पर्यावरण संवर्धनाची लोकचळवळ आहे. 2047 पर्यंत 300 कोटी वृक्ष लागवडीचं उद्दिष्ट राज्य शासनान निश्चित केले असून, हे उद्दिष्ट पूर्ण करण्यासाठी प्रत्येकानं या अभियानात सहभागी होण्याचं आवाहन यावेळी केले. या अभियानासाठी सहकार्य करणारे वनमंत्री श्री. गणेश नाईक, ज्येष्ठ अभिनेते व राष्ट्रवादी काँग्रेसचे नेते श्री. सयाजी शिंदे, तसेच वन विभाग, सामाजिक वनीकरण विभाग, Mumbai Port Authority, महह्याद्री देवराई फाउंडेशन, Environmental Forum of India, संयुक्त वन व्यवस्थापन समित्या, इको डेव्हलपमेंट कमिट्या, विविध CSR भागीदार, औद्योगिक संस्था, स्वयंसेवी संस्था, शेक्षणिक संस्था, ग्रामपंचायती आणि सर्व स्वयंसेवकांचं अभिनंदन केलं.

कार्यक्रम सुरु असतानाच पडलेल्या पावसाने वातावरण आणखी भावूक झाले, उपस्थित प्रत्येकाच्या मनात दादा आजही आपल्या आशीर्वादाच्या रूपानं सोबत असल्याची भावना दाटून आली. आदरणीय अजितदादांनी दिलेली पर्यविरण संवर्धनाची प्रेरणा जा समृद्ध आणि शाश्वत महाराष्ट्र घडविण्याचा निर्धार यावेळी पुन्हा करण्यात ओला.
