Stop the FSI Frenzy, Save Maharashtra's Cities. CM sir, we acknowledge your prompt action regarding the Jain Boarding case. However, this incident is a symptom of a larger disease: the unchecked power of the builder lobby. The government must not repeal the MOFA Act under builder pressure. RERA is inadequate; MOFA's robust provisions are essential. Despite MOFA, millions of flat owners lack deemed conveyance, denying them true ownership. When citizens approach the police regarding MOFA violations, their complaints are ignored, yet builders secure FIRs against those who raise their voice.Your administration’s decision to grant a 4 FSI alongside the Metro is destroying Pune. It's a traffic and civic nightmare. While roads, drainage, and water sources remain static, increasing FSI quadruples the population density, driven purely by builder profits.Sir, as a committed public servant, prioritize the citizen over the lobby. Restore MOFA's authority and order an immediate, comprehensive audit of all high-FSI building permissions across all municipal corporations in the state. Protect Maharashtra's cities from ecological and civic collapse.

The Brothers’ Pact – Desperation, Not Dominance. The recent unity of the "Two Brothers" (Uddhav and Raj Thackeray) is being hailed by some as a political earthquake in Maharashtra. However, this reunion stems more from political necessity than genuine reconciliation. After previously labeling each other as a "finished party" and an "untrustworthy man," their current handshake struggles for credibility. Uddhav Thackeray’s sharp rhetoric and Raj Thackeray’s familiar U-turn are unlikely to sway Mumbai voters, who remember the bridges they burned. They left no room for retreat in their past rivalry, making this 'monomilan' appear entirely transactional. Massive rallies may be staged, but will they translate into a decisive victory in the BMC elections? We doubt it. Voters now prioritize stability and development. Against the powerful wave of infrastructure work driven by the Mahayuti (Shinde-Fadnavis-Pawar), this defensive, convenience-driven alliance will find it extremely challenging to assert dominance.

Upholding Owner's Rights—The SC’s Clarity on Tenancy. The Supreme Court's latest ruling in an eviction case provides much-needed relief to property owners. By ruling in favour of the landlord, despite the tenant’s son being the signatory on rent receipts, the bench clarified a significant procedural loophole. The Court asserted that such receipts are merely acknowledgments of payment, and the identity of the person signing them does not automatically confer tenancy status, which is determined by the original agreement. Crucially, the ruling prevents tenants from using technical, secondary arguments to delay eviction in proven cases of the landlord’s bona fide requirement. This verdict is vital: it streamlines the legal process, reinforces the property owner's legitimate rights, and signals a commitment to resolving prolonged tenancy disputes efficiently.

The Mandate for Truth - Trusting a Proven Fighter. The appointment of IPS Tejaswi Satpute to lead the SIT investigating the tragic Phaltan doctor’s case is a welcome move. Ms. Satpute is a known, formidable officer, praised even by Supriya Sule in Parliament for 'Operation Parivartan'—a pioneering effort to rehabilitate families reliant on illegal distilleries. While Superintendent in Solapur, she aggressively cracked down on sand, liquor, and gutkha mafias, resulting in strong pushback, including an allegation of corruption raised by a sitting MLA in the Assembly, which culminated in her transfer. This history reminds us that integrity often invites the ire of the powerful. CM Devendra Fadnavis, who oversaw her previous transfer following political pressure, must now demonstrate unwavering faith. Ms. Satpute is a determined and sensitive officer. The onus is entirely on the administration to guarantee her complete autonomy so that truth, unburdened by political pressure, finally prevails.

The Solar Subsidy Paradox – Powering the Grid, Burning the Gadgets. The ambition of 'Vikasit Bharat' and '22nd Century Maharashtra' is commendable. Initiatives like Metro and solar subsidies ($78,000$) show proactive leadership from Mr. Modi and Mr. Fadnavis. However, a brilliant policy risks failure due to execution gaps. The surge in rooftop solar installations, driven by green energy goals, is straining our outdated power infrastructure. Physics dictates that solar power pushes electricity back into the grid at a higher voltage. Unfortunately, where consumption is low, or MSEDCL transformers are ill-equipped, this backflow causes massive voltage fluctuations. The result is unjustifiable: honest citizens who invested in solar are suffering appliance damage and financial loss. The subsidy is effective, but the utility's receiving mechanism is not.MSEDCL must urgently upgrade its grid infrastructure and regulate voltage proactively. Without accountable officials ensuring the system can handle the very green energy the government promotes, the policy's success remains at a mere 5%. Proactiveness is paramount.
