Spain is standing firm & neutral amid the rising tensions in gulf & this is quite unsettling for the United States of America. President Donald Trump said Tuesday that he will cut off all trade with Spain after Barcelona prohibited the US form using bases in on its territory to carry out attacks on Iran, Anadolu reports. "We're going to cut off all trade with Spain. We don't want anything to do with Spain," Trump told reporters in the Oval Office as he hosted German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. The Spanish government said Monday that the US has neither used, nor will it use, Spanish military bases to conduct attacks against Iran, insisting Madrid maintains full control over its sovereign facilities.

The global economy is facing a severe energy shock following US and Israeli strikes on Tehran. In a rapid escalation, major oil and gas facilities across the Gulf have shut down or suspended operations, citing safety concerns and regional instability. This sudden supply disruption has sent shockwaves through energy markets, causing global crude prices to surge as traders brace for prolonged shortages. Beyond the immediate volatility, the conflict is fueling broader concerns over international energy security. With the Gulf serving as a critical artery for global fuel supplies, the backlash is now rippling through various sectors—from transportation to manufacturing. As energy costs soar, the risk of global inflation increases, leaving the international community struggling to mitigate the economic fallout of this intensifying geopolitical crisis.

Iran is also responding hard & brutal. Although it is toned down by the global media, the response & preparation of Iran is something which America & Israel has miscalculated. A drone strike caused a limited fire in the vicinity of the US Consulate in Dubai on Tuesday evening, local authorities said, Anadolu reports. The Dubai Media Office added in a statement on US social media company X that relevant authorities managed to extinguish the blaze. No injuries were reported. Tension has escalated across the region when the US and Israel launched large-scale attacks on Iran on Saturday, killing nearly 800 people, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and top military officials. Tehran has responded with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel as well as Gulf countries, which are home to US assets.

French President Emmanuel Macron has officially disapproved of the US-Israeli strikes on Iran, labeling them a violation of international law. Addressing the nation, Macron emphasized that while France remains committed to its allies' security—having already intercepted drones in "legitimate self-defense"—it cannot support military operations conducted outside global legal frameworks. To manage the escalating crisis, France has bolstered the security of its regional military bases and embassies, while simultaneously activating the "Sentinel" system to protect domestic soil. Macron also warned against a potential Israeli ground intervention in Lebanon, calling it a "strategic mistake" and a dangerous escalation. Stressing France's defense pacts with nations like Qatar and Jordan, he urged an immediate end to airstrikes and a return to diplomacy to ensure long-term regional stability.

The user critiques Sonia Gandhi’s stance on India’s silence regarding the assassination of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, contrasting it with historical precedents to evaluate whether India’s foreign policy maintains consistency. Three specific instances are examined: Zulfikar Ali Bhutto (1979), where the Morarji Desai government viewed the execution as an internal matter; Ziaur Rahman (1981), where Indira Gandhi expressed deep shock and condemned the violence; and Benazir Bhutto (2007), which the Manmohan Singh government strongly condemned as a "heinous act." The critique suggests that while a responsible opposition is vital, it must base its "gyan" (advice) on historical maturity and policy continuity rather than mere political posturing. Critics argue that a 140-year-old party like Congress should demonstrate greater depth by citing relevant historical parallels before attacking the government’s current diplomatic silence.
