In a striking address, Mojtaba Khamenei called for the disarmament of the United States, invoking Hiroshima’s 1945 tragedy to question the moral legitimacy of nuclear powers. He argued that history must be central to debates on who deserves to hold such weapons today. Khamenei criticized what Tehran sees as double standards in the Nuclear Non‑Proliferation Treaty, where a handful of states retain nuclear arsenals while others are denied. Analysts interpret his remarks as a symbolic move, aimed at global audiences skeptical of Western dominance. The timing is crucial, coming amid rising military tensions and fading dialogue between Washington and Tehran. By framing the issue around Hiroshima, Iran seeks to shift the nuclear debate from military strength to moral responsibility, deepening the ideological divide and complicating diplomatic solutions.

In a recent video, Rahul Gandhi alleged that Apollo Hospitals have no doctors from Dalit, OBC, or Adivasi communities. This sweeping claim is misleading and dismissive of thousands of doctors who have risen through merit and years of training. Private hospitals like Apollo hire based on qualifications, skill, and experience—not caste. Medicine is one of the few professions where rigorous study, exams, and clinical practice determine success. Every year, thousands of SC, ST, and OBC doctors graduate from medical colleges and serve in leading hospitals across India, including private ones. To say “not a single one exists” insults those who have spent 10–15 years mastering their craft. Hospitals are about saving lives, not caste headcounts. Perhaps Rahul Gandhi should spend a day in a medical college before making such claims.

During a war‑like situation, stability and unity become critical. Yet, opposition protests against the government have been described by critics as attempts to incite unrest. Some argue that when gas shortages occur, citizens can adapt temporarily—using traditional cooking methods—rather than fueling political drama. The sharpest criticism is directed at the Congress party, accused of staging “street theatre” to provoke anger against the government. Supporters of strong governance insist that such actions amount to anti‑national behavior and should be dealt with under Section 124A of the Indian Penal Code (sedition). Authorities emphasize vigilance against suspicious agitators, while leaders like Devendra Fadnavis highlight the need for discipline. In this narrative, loyalty to the nation outweighs partisan politics, and disruptive protests are seen as undermining collective resilience.

A major scam has surfaced in Maharashtra’s Nashik division involving the government’s official “Shalarth” online system, used to pay teachers and staff. Fake Shalarth IDs were created, leading to a loss of nearly ₹150 crore to the state. Cases have been filed against three former deputy directors of education along with 841 teachers and employees. Investigations suggest that bogus documents and manipulated records were used to generate illegal IDs, enabling salaries to be siphoned off. The SIT from Pune is probing the matter, with the first FIR registered at Bhadrakali Police Station. Already, approval for 150 teachers has been cancelled and their salaries stopped. Authorities believe around 2,000 teachers, staff, officers, and school operators across Nashik, Dhule, Jalgaon, and Nandurbar may be involved.

In the ongoing Iran–Israel confrontation, one striking detail stands out: Haifa Port in Israel and Chabahar Port in Iran remain completely untouched. Neither side has dropped a single bomb on these strategic hubs. The reason lies in their present operator—India. Haifa Port is under Indian management, while Chabahar Port has long been developed and funded by India as a gateway to Central Asia. Both ports are critical to New Delhi’s trade and strategic outreach. Thus, Iran and Israel have carefully avoided targeting them, knowing that striking these ports would directly drag India into the conflict. For Modi’s India, this unusual restraint underscores its growing influence in global geopolitics, where even warring nations pause before touching assets tied to New Delhi.
