The aim is to reduce peak-hour passenger load, which is dangerously high on the Central, Western, and Harbour lines.With no room for expanding the rail corridors in densely packed Mumbai, easing congestion through systemic adjustments is the only feasible solution. Shifting office hours in staggered slots could significantly distribute footfall throughout the day. This simple administrative decision could improve passenger safety, reduce stress on infrastructure, and offer a better commute experience to millions. It's time for institutions to show collective responsibility for the city's mobility crisis.
