Are OBC Futures Being Undermined? In Maharashtra, nearly half the population belongs to the OBC community—yet their future appears increasingly sidelined. Under Ajit Pawar’s leadership, the NCP (Ajit faction) faces growing criticism for discriminatory funding practices. Institutions like Mahajyoti, meant to uplift OBC students, have seen drastic budget cuts, while Maratha-focused bodies like SARTHI flourish. In 2022–23, SARTHI received ₹150 crore; Mahajyoti got just ₹50 crore. PhD scholarships for OBC students have stalled for three years, while SARTHI continues uninterrupted. Even prominent OBC leaders like Chhagan Bhujbal were initially denied cabinet roles, despite vocal advocacy for OBC rights. Meanwhile, Maratha leaders enjoy prime positions. Critics allege that OBC voices are being suppressed using party loyalists. If this imbalance continues, the phrase “destroying generations” may shift from rhetoric to reality. Equal rights demand equal resources—not selective empowerment.

When Patriotism Is Mocked! In Vidisha, Madhya Pradesh, Congress leader Asad Khan Jilani sparked outrage by referring to ‘Bharat Mata’ as a “witch” in a Facebook post. The remark ignited public fury, leading to his arrest. Police reportedly marched him to court while making him chant “Bharat Mata ki Jai.” The court denied bail and sent him to jail. Locals are demanding strict action, viewing the insult not just as political provocation but as a betrayal of national sentiment. In a country where millions revere Bharat Mata as a symbol of unity and sacrifice, such language isn’t just offensive—it’s incendiary. Free speech doesn’t mean freedom to demean. When ideology blinds respect for the nation, it’s not dissent—it’s disgrace. Patriotism isn’t optional—it’s foundational.

Ladakh: A Club or a State? Ladakh’s demand for Sixth Schedule privileges and statehood deserves scrutiny. With just 3 lakh residents—fewer than the crowd at a Coldplay concert in Ahmedabad—can it truly claim the stature of a full-fledged state? In 2023–24, Ladakh generated ₹116 crore in revenue but received ₹6,000 crore from the Centre. That’s 60 times its own earnings. Should a region that funds barely 2% of its expenses demand exclusive rights? Under Sixth Schedule protections, outsiders can’t buy land, mine resources, or set up industries—on 1.8% of India’s land, claimed by just 0.02% of its people. Meanwhile, youth in metro cities toil, pay taxes, and live in cramped PGs to keep the nation running. Yet the “special” tag goes to those who resist integration. India must be one—rights, responsibilities, and opportunities shared equally. Privilege without contribution isn’t justice—it’s imbalance.

The Silent Insurance Hero! Last night’s episode of The Kapil Sharma Show with Akshay Kumar revealed a quiet act of generosity that moved me deeply. Kapil invited 10–15 fight masters who’ve worked with Akshay over the years—nearly all of them Muslim. One shared a story that stunned the audience: no insurance company would cover their lives, citing the risks they willingly take. Akshay personally negotiated with a firm to insure all 650 members of their union. And for years, he’s paid the ₹1.25–1.5 crore annual premium himself. As this was shared, their family members seated in the audience couldn’t hold back tears. Akshay’s political leanings aside, his commitment to those who risk their lives for cinema is rare and noble. Knowing this, sleep came easy last night. Some heroes don’t wear capes—they quietly pay the premiums.

Vanity Before Humanity ! In Tamil Nadu, YouTuber Haridas was arrested by the DMK government after questioning the chaos at actor Vijay Joseph’s rally. His sharpest critique: Vijay waited inside his multi-crore vanity van, seemingly delaying his appearance until the crowd swelled dangerously. Haridas also pointed out the lack of ambulances and the exclusive broadcast of the stampede on DMK’s Sun TV—suggesting that even tragedy was monetized. Instead of addressing these concerns, the Stalin-led administration chose suppression. Arresting a citizen for asking why lives were endangered is not governance—it’s intimidation. When optics trump safety, and dissent is silenced, democracy begins to rot from within. Haridas didn’t incite violence; he asked uncomfortable questions. That should be protected, not punished.
