"Raj Knocks, Fadnavis Smiles"Raj Thackeray suddenly turned up at Devendra Fadnavis’ doorstep—right after the MNS was thrashed in the BEST polls. It looked less like a political courtesy call and more like a student begging the principal for grace marks after flunking the exam. The much-hyped Sena (UBT)–MNS “alliance of thunder” barely saw lightning before the clouds scattered. Analysts call it a “political meeting”; in truth, it was an application for political rehabilitation. Fadnavis, of course, welcomed him with a smile—after all, when the prey walks into the hunter’s net voluntarily, why chase? The only suspense now: will Raj emerge as a leader reborn, or remain just another visitor at the CM’s residence? Maharashtra’s political circus always has free entry—popcorn extra.

"Fadnavis Plays the Phone-a-Friend Card" Devendra Fadnavis dialing Sharad Pawar and Uddhav Thackeray for support to the NDA’s Vice-Presidential candidate is the kind of political theater only Maharashtra can stage. Imagine the script: the BJP’s most strategic CM, calling the NCP patriarch and the estranged Sena boss—two leaders who’ve spent years branding him as the villain—to now play the role of kingmaker. Some call it desperation, others call it masterstroke. But here’s the twist: in politics, enemies are just “friends pending future utility.” Fadnavis knows that when the numbers game begins, even sworn rivals can turn into temporary allies. Will Pawar play his trademark double game? Will Uddhav flip again? Or will both simply enjoy watching Fadnavis sweat? Either way, Maharashtra politics just got its popcorn moment—and the Vice-President’s chair has become the state’s newest reality show prize.

Vijay’s Madurai Script"Tamil Nadu politics has always loved drama—Karunanidhi wrote scripts, MGR delivered blockbusters, and Jayalalithaa turned charisma into votes. Now enters ‘Thalapathi’ Vijay, the superstar who knows how to turn applause into ballots. By declaring candidature from Madurai East, Vijay is pitching his TVK as the “anti-DMK force.” Insight? In TN, politics is rarely about ideology—it’s about identity, loyalty, and emotional connect. The DMK rides on Dravidian pride, AIADMK survives on nostalgia, BJP struggles for space. Vijay brings with him a fan-army that sees him not as a politician, but as a messiah. The real test: Can cinema’s fantasy of fighting injustice translate into legislative reality? 2026 may well script the sequel to Tamil Nadu’s tradition—where reel heroes attempt to become real ones. But remember: stardom fills stadiums, not necessarily ballot boxes.

"Moscow Calling, Washington Fuming" India and Russia just inked another chapter in their long friendship—pushing trade in energy, pharma, agriculture, and textiles. While Moscow opens new doors, Washington gnashes its teeth. The US loves to preach “free trade,” but when India actually acts free, it suddenly remembers “sanctions” and “democracy lessons.” Truth is, America’s tariff tantrums have only pushed New Delhi closer to Moscow’s embrace. Russia offers oil, gas, markets, and respect—minus the sermons. India knows it cannot mortgage its growth to Washington’s mood swings. In the chessboard of geopolitics, Uncle Sam plays checkers—short moves, loud noise. Modi plays patience: align with Russia, bargain with the West, and keep India’s interests first. The message is clear—New Delhi won’t dance to American tunes. The music now plays in Moscow.

"Parliament or Fish Market?"

Yet again, the Opposition reduced the Lok Sabha to a shouting arena—screaming “vote chor, gaddi chhor” until the House was adjourned. This is not protest, it is plain hooliganism. Parliament is meant for debate, law-making, and accountability—not for sloganeering that burns taxpayers’ money. Every adjournment means crores of rupees wasted and crucial bills pushed aside. The irony? Those yelling about democracy are the very ones strangling it by silencing the institution that embodies it. If the Opposition truly believes in its narrative, let it argue with facts, data, and reason—inside the House, not at its gate. Fake slogans may trend on social media, but they don’t solve farmers’ woes or improve youth employment. Democracy is strengthened by discussion, not by drama. India deserves leaders, not hecklers.
